+ + STOP PRESS - NEW R90 LEGISLATION ++

From October 2011, the scope of ECE Regulation 90 (commonly known as R90) has been extended  to apply to brake discs and drums. Most aftermarket CV discs and drums will be classed as "interchangeable" with the OE, which means they will have to:

1. Comply with the geometric (dimensional) requirements laid down in ECE Regulation 90

2. Meet the performance requirements of R13/R13H, as appropriate

3. Have similar performance characteristics to the OE part, within 8%

4. Comply with the integrity tests for Thermal Fatigue and High Load, as laid down in ECE Regulation 90

Additionally ECE Regulation 90 for brake discs and drums sets minimum standards for product identification, traceability, packaging and on-going quality checks during routine production.
